About me

My story with music begins at 6, when I first stepped into the “Dimitrie Cuclin” Art School in Galați. For the next 12 years, the piano became both a language and a home—a place where I learned to shape emotion into sound.

In 2015, I moved to Cluj-Napoca to study at the “Gheorghe Dima” National Academy of Music, where I immersed myself in composition and earned my Bachelor’s Degree four years later.

Since 2019, Bucharest has been my base of operations—where I compose film music at DISC Studio (District of Screen Composers), guide students through piano and composition lessons, and perform as a pianist and vocalist in projects that keep my creative pulse alive.

In 2024, I joined the Eastern Europe Music Academy Winter Program, an experience that widened my perspective on the music world and connected me with industry minds like Chris Cooke, Andries van Wieren, Tamara Kamińska, Sean Adams, and others.

Sideshow, nominated several times, wouldn’t be the film it is if it wasn’t for the musical score that Cristina Negoita composed. Cristina was a joy to work with, her amazing musical talent and very easy collaborative work ethic was inspiring from the beginning of the project until its completion. Her impeccable rigid self motivated deadlines kept the project on track for its opening special public preview. Cristina knew from the onset after watching the first edit of the film what was needed. Every composed musical scene that she presented to the production team literally had us all super excited for the finished results, of which we weren’t disappointed. Cristina told the story musically as much as I told the story visually. The music and imagery went flawlessly together hand in hand. I would have no hesitation working with Cristina again.

Cristina is an amazing, creative composer and great to work with. She was responsive, enthusiastic, and worked quickly and considerately. The music that she composed for the project we worked on (a short documentary) is beautiful, and really helped to bring the film together.

My works can be described as Debussy-inspired compositions with subtle jazz influences and hauntingly atmospheric electronic elements that bring out the emotional depth of the scenery.

With a very deep interest in psychology and philosophy, to which is added a special sensitivity in expression, my goal is to approach the human experience through music in all its forms.
